Job Description

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join the dynamic and growing global team.

In this role you will have to:

  • Evaluate mechanical enclosures by defining and executing research programs;
  • Define architecture of mechanics, optics, heat transfer and materials definition in a new product;
  • Design parts, components and assemblies to meet product requirements;
  • Create CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing and assembly, and support components to assist with assembly;
  • Work within global team and multiple stakeholders;
  • Define and plan validation and verification tests, feasibility study, proof of concepts analysis;
  • Design rigs for production assembly and testing;
  • Drive and prepare technical review such as PDR, CDR, FDR, etc.

We expect that you have:

  • Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar, M.Sc. is an advantage;
  • 7+ years of experience in plastics enclosures design for harsh environment;
  • Proven knowledge in manufacturing processes including sealing, injection molding, compression molding and 3D rapid prototyping;
  • Expert level in SolidWorks™ including, surfaces 3D modeling, 3D printing modeling and drawings. PLM/PDM experience is advantage;
  • Proficiency in DFx processes including manufacturing, assembly, testing etc.;
  • Experience in PCBAs design with respect to board outline, interconnections and overall shape;
  • Experience working with board design engineers;
  • Experience working with industrial designers for consumer and industrial products;
  • Proficiency in communication skills; verbal, written and presentation in English;
  • Self-motivated and a great team player;
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office programs.

 Salary

3130 – 4350 EUR/month gross
